Allison lives in Savannah with her husband John, their daughter Caroline and son Hayes. She has been shooting fresh, honest images for more than five years. Allison graduated from University of Alabama in 2002, earning a double major in photography and graphic design. While still in school she completed an internship with Chip Cooper, Director of Photography for the University. After college she completed an internship with Scotty Jones Photography, where she assisted in shooting wedding photography. While in Atlanta before the birth of her first child she worked as a photographers assistant to Kem Lee, who is well renowned for her black and white children’s photography. Most recently Allison completed the
Jay Maisel Workshop, in New York.
Allison’s primary photography interest is children and families. To her, taking children’s photos provides parents and families with the opportunity to capture the fleeting stages of childhood. Allison is thankful to her husband, family and friends for their support and encouragement of
her photography career.
